Details
1. This is to remind students intending to pursue university, foundation
courses, commercial, technical or other courses in Mainland China/places outside
Hong Kong to conduct more information search prior to their making decisions.
(Basic reference materials1 are available from the Education Bureau Homepage at
http://www.edb.gov.hk/cgs). Students are also advised to be cautious when
making applications for admission, especially if the proceedings involve
depositing a large down-payment as registration or tuition fees. It is advisable for
these students to consult respective Consulates or Commissions of the countries
concerned or non-profit-making organisations with regard to the standing of the
institutions in which they wish to study before making applications for admission.
A list providing their contact details and relevant information is provided at the
Appendix. Moreover, students are advised to find out whether they will be at
liberty to transfer to another institution in the same country should they so wish,
and in what circumstances any fees paid would be refundable.
For example, updated general information on studying in Australia, USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand
and Mainland China


2. Students are also requested to note that the only organisations authorised to
provide immigration facilities to enter Mainland China/places outside Hong Kong
are China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Ltd./their respective immigration services
or Consulates in Hong Kong. Please be alerted that no connection can be
established between making a payment to an agency and being subsequently
granted a visa. Therefore, students who make payments to travel agencies or other
agencies in the hope that their entry into a foreign country/enrollment in courses in
Mainland China for further education will be facilitated will do so at their own
risk.
