The normal YSS admissions pathway would admit JUPAS students who have achieved a total score of 35 or above in the best 5 HKDSE subjects (Category A subjects and M1/M2) automatically into YSS. Meanwhile, the HKU Special Principal's Nomination Scheme for YSS (HKU SPN for YSS) would continue to run in 2023-24, through which the talented science students who do not perform equally strong in non-science subjects have a leeway to join YSS.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview to be held in May/June 2023. Successful applicants will receive a conditional offer to YSS by the end of June.

Predicted to achieve in the 2023 HKDSE:
---5* or above in at least one Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, M1, or M2) AND
---Total score of 32 or above in their best 5 HKDSE subjects (Category A subjects and M1/M2)
---Level 5** = Score 8.5; Level 5* = Score 7; Level 5 = Score 5.5; Level 4 = Score 4; Level 3 = Score 3; Level 2 = Score 2; Level 1 = Score 1


As principal can only nominate up to 5 students (in max.) for each school, we will do the shortlist beforehand. Any interested students, please contact me (Mr. MO Wai Ho) in person on or before 24/3/2023 (Fri.) and you will be asked for the predicted grade of your best 5 HKDSE subjects.
