The Faculty of Arts of the University of Hong Kong always aims to equip the young generations with knowledge and different skill set in order to become future leaders and make an impact to the society and to the world. Launched in 2021-22, the HKU Arts Elite Scheme for Outstanding HKDSE Students (JS6054) (the Elite Scheme) is designed for talented students who are interested in the area of arts and humanities. Eligible students will benefit from the Elite Scheme with better exposure from learning opportunities to career preparation. Students are now being invited to nominate to start undergraduate studies in 2023-24.

Our school is invited to nominate up to five (5) students who fulfill the following requirements:
1. They are interested in one of the following programmes at the Bachelor of Arts (JS6054):
a. Art History
b. Chinese History and Culture
c. Chinese Language and Literature
d. History
e. Translation
2. They have put JS6054 as one of their Band A JUPAS choices in the final programme reprioritization
3. Their predicted scores of the best 5 HKDSE subjects in the 2023 HKDSE is 27.5 or above (based on HKU Scoring System*)

HKU Scoring System
HKDSE Level 1：HKU Score = 1
HKDSE Level 2：HKU Score = 2
HKDSE Level 3：HKU Score = 3
HKDSE Level 4：HKU Score = 4
HKDSE Level 5：HKU Score = 5.5
HKDSE Level 5*：HKU Score = 7
HKDSE Level 5**：HKU Score = 8.5

The nominated student will be admitted to the Elite Scheme provided that he/she is admitted to JS6054 and has obtained a total score of 27.5 or above (based on HKU Scoring System*) in their best 5 HKDSE subjects in the 2023 sitting. Successful applicants will be offered:
1. Guaranteed majors in Art History/ Chinese Language and Literature/ Chinese History and Culture/ History/ Translation
2. Faculty Global Exploration Fund up to HK$30,000
3. Priority access to HKU Arts Internship opportunities & career preparation workshops
4. Priority access to study abroad opportunities
5. Priority access to activities organized by Chinese Language & Culture Studio for those whose majors are Chinese Language and Literature/ Chinese History and Culture/ Translation
Students who achieve a score of 33.5 or above in their best 5 subjects (based on HKU Scoring System*) will be offered an additional award of Faculty of Arts Entrance Scholarship for Bachelor of Arts Programmes.
